Habitat for Humanity Australia in partnership with NAWIC is proud to invite you to the launch of Habitat Women ─ a group of volunteers working Hand In Hand to empower women by giving a hand up.
Join us to hear Helen Conway, Director of Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace and official Ambassador of Habitat Women, speak about issues impacting women in Australia and overseas.
In 2011, 15 NAWIC members were part of a team of 100 women who provided a 'hand up' by building homes for 10 female headed households and funding a project to assist a further 240 families. You can also join Habitat and provide a 'hand up' for someone in need, come along and find out how!
When: Thursday, 16th August 2012.
Where: Queen Victoria Women's Centre (210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne)
