Leading women from business, government, education and the community converged on Corrs' Melbourne office to hear Deborah Thomas, one of Australia's most influential women in media, tell "Her Story".
The event, held last month, was the latest instalment in the "Her Story" series, an initiative of the Corrs Women in Business networking group, where some of Australia's most inspirational women share their diverse life stories.
Speaking about her life from modelling high fashion to climbing to the top of Australia's publishing world, Deborah captivated the audience with her stories of determination and courage.
Deborah urged the audience to "play to your strengths and use your unique strengths in any way you can" and to make sure they "enjoy the journey".
Corrs partner Janet Whiting said the event was inspiring, motivational, and a fantastic opportunity for women from both within and outside the law to build relationships.
"As one of Australia's most influential women in Australian media, Deborah's career is an interesting one and her speech was touching, inspiring and infused with good humour," Janet said.
More than 150 guests attended the cocktail event representing a wide range of industries from banking and finance, to natural resources, local government, and property.
The Corrs Women in Business group was established to enable Corrs women to foster relationships, undertake business development and enhance client service, and is but one example of Corrs' day-to-day commitment to diversity in the workplace.
