Ms Denley is currently the director of Human Resources and Risk Management at Bridgestone Australia and has previously held various board positions in the self-insurer sector of the workers compensation industry.

She has also been the South Australian representative on the executive of the National Self Insurers Association and a member of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Advisory Committee representing self-insurers.
Ms Buddle is current
ly a member of the Board of the South Australian Museum. Previously she was the executive director of The Big Book Club Inc, chief executive officer of the State Theatre Company of South Australia and general manager of Austereo Adelaide.

"I am confident these two new appointments bring the skills and experience required to guide WorkCover SA through the next phase of reforms," Mr Holloway says.

"Ms Rajkowska and Mr Phillips have also worked hard as board members and the Government thanks them for their contribution."

Three existing Board members, Peter Vaughan, Jim Watson and Sandra De Poi, were reappointed for a further three years. All five directors begin their appointments from 6 August, 2010.

Mr Holloway says Phillip Bentley has been reappointed as the Chairman of the WorkCover Board for a further two years from the expiry of his current term in August 2011.
"WorkCover SA is undergoing a time of significant change as it implements the legislative reform undertaken by this Government," Mr Holloway says.

"It is critical at this stage to maintain continuity of membership of the board where possible to give the organisation the best possible opportunity to successfully implement the legislative change.

"Mr Bentley and the WorkCover Board have done an excellent job in managing the WorkCover scheme in a challenging period.

"These reappointments confirm the high degree of confidence the Government continues to have in the WorkCover management and Board."

Mr Holloway says Mr Bentley was initially appointed for a three year term as Chair of the Board due to the resignation of Mr Bruce Carter.
"The reappointment of Mr Bentley for a further two years will provide continuity of leadership for the Board as it continues to face the reform challenges that lie ahead."

Under the WorkCover legislation, at least two of the directors must be nominated after consulting with associations representing the interests of employers and at least two must be nominated after consulting with associations representing the interests of employees.

At least one must be a person experienced in occupational health and safety and at least one must be a person experienced in rehabilitation.

"Relevant employer and employee associations were consulted as part of the appointment process," Mr Holloway says.
